About Project

Central Asia to South Asia 1000 MW is a transnational Project connecting Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan with the aim to meet the growing demand for electric Power in Pakistan by constructing a Transmission Line with a Capacity of up to 1000 MW. As Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have abundant hydropower resources, the surplus summer generation will be imported into Pakistan.

Netracon Technologies was awarded the Pakistan Portion of CASA 1000 Project. Involving 110 KM 500 kV Bipolar HVDC Transmission Line and a 22 km earth electrode Line. The Transmission Line enters Pakistan from Torkham Border and terminates at converter station as Nowshera. The route of the Transmission Line is mountainous and rugged and also poses security challenges.
